It Started With Radio When...…
She was introduced to Mr. Charles “The Chief” Williams at OWH Studio. He approached her, asking if she would consider being his co-host on his radio show to be aired on TPNG radio station. The show was called “Thoughts of a Common Man”." The "Chief" said he wanted Gloria to be his co-host because he “liked her style.” Gloria was intrigued about being a co-host and being on the air. Thoughts of a Common Man had a successful run.
After a year of working with "The Chief”, Mr. Charles Williams, Gloria decided to go it alone and branched out with her own show, as host of Real Talk with Lady G on KGPC 96.9 FM.
The podcast, Real Talk With Lady G was launched and Gloria (AKA Lady G) has not looked back. Real Talk is just that! Then Came TV...…
Gloria’s television show was born out of her book, “U” Didn’t Get the Memo-Navigating Corporate America. She imagined all of the things that people everywhere didn't get the memo on.
Seeking to enhance and perfect her "on air" skills, it seemed that Berkeley Community Media was the perfect place for Gloria to "cut her teeth" on learning the aspects of television broadcasting.
At Berkeley Community Media, Gloria thrived, spending the next few years immersed in learning how to use everything in the studio from camera equipment, lighting to doing background, and sound checks. Gloria hosted weekly television shows and developed a following of loyal viewers and great technicians that worked with her.
After producing shows and learning her way around a production studio, Gloria was primed for a much larger platform. Her shows have aired weekly on KOFY-TV20 in thousands of households covering (all nine Bay Area counties) of Northern California and numerous Comcast channels in the Bay Area.
With the onset of the COVID pandemic, the show was forced to evolve. This has been an exciting move for the entire team. You can now watch each weekly episode "live" on Facebook, and YouTube, covering all corners of the earth. The show airs every Tuesday at 5:00 PM (pacific). Tune in and see what everyone is talking about.
Gloria's TV show has aired on KOFY TV (Covering all nine Bay Area Counties in northern CA), Comcast channel 10 (KTOP-Oakland & Emeryville), and Comcast channel 28 (Berkeley). Of course, you can always catch a missed episode on her YouTube Channels (Gloria Bailey-Ray or U Didn't Get the Memo).
Gloria's weekly television show, "U" Didn't Get the Memo was one of the premier TV shows on the BCM Comcast channel 28 and Comcast channel 10.
